Stephen Pidgeon
Stephen is a producer passionate about what can be achieved across both games and film and creating unique experiences that connect with audiences. He studied a Bachelor of Arts in Games & Interactivity at Swinburne University, and proceeded to study a Masters of Producing at the Victorian College of the Arts, where he met his now co-host for Pix & Flix, CJ Welsh.
Stephen has worked across a range of various games and film related projects, and is currently working as an Associate Producer at Wicked Witch Studios, a long-standing Australian video game studio that was founded in 2001.
In his spare time Stephen is developing some yet-to-be-announced game and film projects, and always loves checking out what’s being made in the local and independent parts of the industry.
CJ Welsh
CJ is a Melbourne based film producer and researcher in the fields of distribution and piracy. In 2018 he Co-Produced his first feature, a micro-budget film titled Disclosure, which premiered at the 2020 Palm Springs International Film Festival and released in cinemas in 2021. Disclosure was nominated for Best Indie film at the 2021 AACTA awards and Best Director at the 2021 ADG awards.
In 2018 his film Feast on the Young was officially selected at Fantastic Fest, Dances with Films, Brooklyn Horror Film Festival and Monster Fest where it took out Best Victorian Short.
In 2020 his short film Fun Times was selected for Perth Revelation Fest, his short film Guppy won the grand jury prize at Tokyo Short Shorts and his short film The Fall was selected for Outshine LGBTQA+ Film Festival.
He is currently developing a feature narrative drama and several digital series concepts. He is also the Screen Production Coordinator at the University of Melbourne, Faculty of Fine Arts and Music - VCA Film & Television.
